Z Aviation Consulting — Multi-site Web Delivery & Headless Strategy

Company Websites + Internal Systems (Remote)

The problem

The organization needed reliable, business-critical websites delivered on real timelines, with a structure that supports ongoing iteration, stakeholder clarity, and maintainable long-term ownership — not one-off builds.

Constraints

  • Multiple sites delivered in phases aligned to business timelines
  • Non-technical stakeholders required clear requirements and predictable delivery
  • Production reliability and release coordination on VPS infrastructure
  • Balancing speed with long-term maintainability across multiple codebases

Approach

I ran delivery like a system: clarify requirements early, document decisions, create reusable design and UI patterns, then implement with a scalable architecture that supports future changes. I prioritized reducing ambiguity for stakeholders while keeping the technical foundation clean and maintainable for long-term iteration.

System architecture

Frontend

Next.js + Tailwind CSS with reusable UI patterns

CMS

WordPress (headless) for structured content workflows

Data

Supabase integration for selected backend workflows where needed

Deployment

VPS hosting with production release discipline and ongoing maintenance

Execution

  • Led stakeholder discovery and documented requirements, PRDs, and technical specifications
  • Designed user flows, wireframes, and a design system in Figma to align UI/UX with business goals
  • Built and delivered multiple websites using WordPress and a headless CMS strategy for phased rollout
  • Coordinated implementation work, task tracking, and code reviews to maintain quality and consistency
  • Deployed and maintained production websites on VPS infrastructure, including server configuration and release handling
  • Provided ongoing technical support and troubleshooting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders

Outcomes

  • Delivered multiple production websites aligned to business timelines through phased execution
  • Improved stakeholder clarity through documented PRDs, specs, and consistent delivery structure
  • Established a scalable foundation using modern frontend architecture and headless CMS workflows
  • Strengthened production reliability through disciplined VPS deployments and release management

Reflection

This work reinforced that multi-site delivery succeeds when the workflow is designed as deliberately as the code. Clear requirements, reusable UI patterns, and release discipline reduce chaos and create compounding speed over time.
